Brenda Brewer

Associate Director

Brenda Brewer is an Associate Director with more than 25 years of research experience performing a variety of roles on health studies, including clinical trials. She also has more than 30 years of experience in the health field, with a primary interest in cancer prevention and infectious disease.

Ms. Brewer leads international in-country assessments of baby food companies and compliance of the WHO Code in India, Thailand, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Mexico for a nonprofit organization. She served as the project director for the National Lung Screening Trial funded by the National Cancer Institute. This research led to more effective lung cancer screening guidelines, helping to reduce the incidence of lung cancer. Ms. Brewer also led the Clinical Research Support Service contract funded by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases , helping to prevent and evaluate therapies for HIV and other emerging infectious diseases.
