Cristina Rabadán-Diehl

Associate Director

Cristina Rabadán-Diehl, Ph.D., an Associate Director for Clinical Trials, joined Westat after a 25-year career at the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She is a multidisciplinary scientist with experience in chronic noncommunicable diseases, global health, and health policy. Dr. Rabadán-Diehl serves as a scientific lead in several projects as well as develops partnerships with domestic and international government and nongovernment stakeholders.

Dr. Rabadán-Diehl is a professorial lecturer at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University, where she is the director of the Global Health Diplomacy course.

Additionally, Dr. Rabadán-Diehl is a member of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Advisory Council, which advises and makes recommendations to improve treatment, prevention, and related services for substance use and mental illness. She is also a member of the Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Advisory Council in Montgomery County, Maryland, and an ambassador for Shatterproof, a national organization established to help reduce the stigma of opioid addiction.

A native of Madrid, Spain, Dr. Rabadán-Diehl is committed to Latino health and is a member of the Latino Caucus for Public Health, an organization that advocates for the health interests of Latinos in the United States and throughout the Americas.
