Martha Hering

Martha Hering is a registered nurse and project director with 25 years of experience in clinical research. As the project director for CORE services on NCI’s Cancer Trials Support Unit, she oversees multiple project areas and provides coordination between operational, information system, and regulatory functions. She is also instrumental in providing user specifications for operational systems.

Ms. Hering also served as the project manager and then project director for the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health Clinical Monitoring Service project, and as the task lead for monitoring service on the Division of Cancer Prevention monitoring contract. Before coming to Westat, Ms. Hering was a study coordinator for several women’s health studies at a physician’s office, and worked as a labor and delivery/postpartum nurse at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
